Registration for the 2024-2025 season opens on October 31, 2024. The cost per athlete is $350 (scholarships are available).
Location
SEYBL is held on Sundays at the Cathedral High School gymnasium, 74 Union Park Street. The 4-6 division runs from 2:00-3:00, the 7-9 division from 3:15-4:45, and the 10-12 division from 5:00-6:30.
Updated Schedule
The schedule for the 2024-2025 season is as follows:
December 8, 15, 22, January 5, 12, 26
February 2,9, 23, March 2, 9
No sessions: December 29, January 19 and February 16
Format
Sessions include offensive and defensive drills followed by organized games. For the two older divisions, the first two sessions are evaluations for constructing balanced teams.
To Do
Please be certain to bring a water bottle, but please leave your basketball at home.
Skills and Drills for the 10-12 Division
Every Wednesday or Thursday through the end of the season, SEYBL will run a basketball clinic for the 10-12 division from 7:30-8:30 PM. The clinic will consist of 30 minutes of drills followed by a full court scrimmage.
This is optional and in addition to the Sunday sessions.
Special Note for the 4-6 Division
We have found through experience that the sessions work best when parents and caregivers are NOT in the gym during the first part of the session. Though we encourage folks to join us in the gym after the practice ends (2:40) to watch the scrimmages, this is a drop-off league.
